Hello and welcome to our first post-lockdown blog, we have so much to fill you in on!

We are thrilled to announce that we are now an official FIVE STAR salon recognised by the Good Salon Guide! The Good Salon Guide is an independent, nationwide scheme for assessing standards and services in the hair and beauty industries, to be awarded five stars from them is a major achievement for us! We are so proud of ourselves and our team. Thank you to you, our lovely clients, we could not have done this without you and your continued support.

Let’s talk lockdown…

How nice is it to have some semblance of normality again? We’re loving being back at work and spending time with each other and our clients! During lockdown Susan climbed every hill in a 100-mile radius and Sinead drank every bottle of wine in that same distance. Some things never change!

Clients are always asking how we’re adapting to working under the strict conditions imposed on salons and to be honest, we’re so used to it we don’t even have to think about it. Our hygiene standards have always been high but please rest assured that your safety and ours is our to priority! We’re working in full PPE, we have several hand sanitising stations and everything touched by us or our clients in sanitised thoroughly between uses. We’ve allocated extra time between clients to allow us to ensure we’re maintaining our high standards and ensuring there is minimal contact between clients.

We’ve seen it all in the salon…haircuts by husbands, box dyes, bad fades done by girlfriends armed with their dad’s clippers and a YouTube tutorial…you name it, we’ve dealt with it. If you’re still rocking a lockdown creation, we’re here to help!

Does anyone else feel like this year has flown in and lasted about 12 years at the same time? We hate to do this to you but we have two words we need to say: Christmas. Appointments. We’ve already had requests for December so if you know you have an event or just know you need your hair done for Santa coming, it’s never too early to book!

Lastly, we have some exciting staffing announcements to make! Jenny’s last day with us will be the 7th of September and the salon will be closed on a Sunday and Monday going forward until further notice. We have a new receptionist/trainee named Shawnee (that’s me!) who is taking bookings for tint and blowdry models. Tints are priced at £10 to cover the cost of materials and blowdrys are completely free! We are so happy to announce that Pam is back for all your makeup needs all day on Fridays and Saturdays, a full face is £25 including lashes!
